Q: I don't see my letters on any items. How do I buy items with my letters?
A: All items can be custom designed with any letter combination.Simply select the item you want to customize and then select yourletters in the drop down boxes for letter #1, letter #2, and letter #3 (not necessary for organizations with only two letters). For FIJI, you only need to select FIJI in the drop down for letter #1.
Q. My organization has four letters. How do I order?
A. There is no extra charge for four letter organizations. Simply put the letters you want in the additional instructions section for your item.
Q. How do I add an embroidered lowercase alpha to my order?
A. Does your organization require a lowercase alpha to be embroidered in the upper left hand corner of the first letter, such as Kappa? If so, there is a $5 charge for this and you can indicate this by writing it in your additional order instructions. Please be sure to include the thread color you want and leave the security code from your credit card so we can charge the additional $5.
Q. Can my letters be different colors?
A. Yes. There is no extra charge for this. Please indicate what the options should be for each letter in the additional instructions section for the item. Be as specific as possible so we know what each of the fabric and thread colors should be for each letter. If something will stay consistent throughout each of the letters, please indicate this. For example, if the foreground fabric and thread will be changing but the background fabric and thread will be the same, please state this. Please use color options as they are listed on our site. For instance, if you want green fabric please specify which green as we have multiple different green fabrics (kelly, dark green, etc.).
Q. How do I buy more than one size?
A.
1. Start by selecting one of the sizes you want.
2. Customize the item.
3. In the "Additional Instructions" box, list the sizes you want with the quantity for each size.
4. There is a "Qty" box at the end of the customization, enter in the total number of items you want across all sizes. Make sure the number of all the sizes you want adds up to the total QTY entered.
5. Add the items to the cart and complete the order.
Q. What is the difference in zig-zag stitch and satin stitch?
A.
We recommend satin stitch for any pattern fabrics. This will secure the fabric better. Zig-zag stitch is less secure and will show more of the fraying edge of loose fabric.
Q. Can I get full size (4") letters on my item with vertical letters?
A. If you select to have the letters vertical they will be made as close to 4" as possible. Smaller sizes do not allow the space to fit three, 4" letters. They will be made as large as possible and will vary according to the size of the item. If you select vertical placement with three letters, the background fabric will be harder to see on smaller items due to the smaller letters.
If you would like 4" letters to be used, please state this in the additional instructions and note that the letters may close the pocket.
Q. Can I order non-Greek/regular English letters?
A. Yes. There is no additional charge for ordering up to four English letters. Please note the letters you would like in the additional instructions section for the item you are customizing. For more than four letters, please contact customer service for a custom quote.
Q. How do I order extra text?
A. The extra text is charged per location and there is no additional charge for multiple lines in one location. If the text will not fit on one line we will use a second line or smaller font to accommodate the text. For special sizing or spacing instructions please input this information in parentheses after the text. To indicate Greek letters or symbols, please put these in parentheses so we know to use the symbols and not spell them out. For example, if you want the Greek letters Alpha Beta please write (Alpha)(Beta), or if you want an anchor symbol please write (anchor). Without the parentheses, these things would be spelled out as Alpha Beta or anchor and would not be the symbols.
For large numbers on the back to achieve a jersey type look, we can do this in 8" applique. This is $30 for one number and $40 for two. This price includes a solid foreground fabric and zig-zag stitch. To order this, please input the number in the appropriate text field for the location you want and in parentheses afterwards write that you want 8" applique and be sure to put the fabric and thread color you want used. Please also leave the security code from your credit card so we can charge the appropriate extra cost.
For any other custom text, please contact customer service for a custom quote.
For custom symbols, crests, logos, or designs to be embroidered, please email an image to info@customgreekthreads.com. Please indicate the size you would like and send a picture that is roughly the same size. One of our customer service representatives will respond with the additional fees associated.
Q. How long does an order take?
A. There are two parts to the time it takes to receive your order: production timing - the amount of time it takes us to make your custom item(s), and shipping timing - the amount of time it takes your order to ship once it leaves our facility. Our standard production timing is around 10 business days which is roughly two weeks because business days do not include weekends. The day the order was placed does not count as a business day, nor do major holidays. Shipping can take anywhere from 1-5 business days depending where we are shipping to. We are located in Southern California so shipping to the East Coast takes longer.
Production timing and shipping time are two separate things. So, if you selected ~10 business days for the production timing but 2nd Day Air shipping, this does not mean your order will be shipped two days after placing the order. The order will ship once the ~10 business days for the production timing is complete and once it ships, it will then be shipped via the express shipping method you selected.
Q. How do I measure?
A. Measurements are different for each item as we carry items made by different manufacturers. There is a size chart at the bottom of each individual product page. For most Gildan items, the measurements are meant to be taken while the garment is laying flat on the ground. For most American Apparel items, the measurements are meant to be taken of a person's body (ex: around the chest).
Q. What is the proper care for my item?
A. We recommend dry clean only or hand wash/spot clean for all of our items. The care instructions on the tags of the items are meant for the blank item and are not intended for the item with customization on it. Because the extra customization can be delicate or fabrics can bleed if put in the washer/dryer, we recommend the gentler washing methods of either dry cleaning or hand wash/spot clean. We also do not recommend putting your items in the dryer to shrink them as the fabrics can also shrink and therefore may start to pull away from the stitching.
Q. Can I send in my own fabric for the letters?
A. Yes. There is an option for "*send in your own fabric" in the drop down menus for both foreground fabric and background fabric. The additional charges for these options are listed in the drop down menus. Once you place the order, please send us the fabric via UPS and email us the tracking number so we can know when to be expecting the fabric. The production timing for the order does not start until we receive the fabric. Please include a copy of your order confirmation in with your fabric. If, for any reason, your item needs to be redone, Custom Greek Threads is not responsible for the additional cost of shipping the custom fabric to us again.
Q. Can I send in my own item to be customized?
A. Yes. You can customize your own item here: http://www.customgreekthreads.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Custom%2EItem. Once you place the order, please send the item to us via UPS and email us the tracking number so we can know when to be expecting your item. The production timing for the order does not start until we receive the item. Please include a copy of your order confirmation in with your item. When we receive your item, we will look it over to make sure all of the customization you selected can be done on the item that is sent. If certain customization cannot be done we will notify you to either change it or remove it from the order for a refund. If, for any reason, the order is cancelled and we have already received the custom item, Custom Greek Threads is not responsible for the return shipping of the item and the shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount.

Q. How do I make a change to my order?
A. Please call customer service immediately after placing your order to make any changes. Once the order is submitted there may be a processing fee for any changes depending where the order is in processing. Please call rather than email as we may not be able to get to your email in time.
Q. How do I cancel my order?

Q. How do I change my shipping address?
A. Please contact customer service right away regarding any address changes. If the order has already been shipped, it may not be possible to change the address and if it is possible, there will be a fee of roughly $11-$18 to change the address.
Q. I would like to change my payment method.
A. Please call customer service regarding any changes to the payment method for your order. If you change the payment method by logging in to your account, please contact customer service to make sure the payment gets applied to your order.

Q. My order was made wrong.
A. If your order was not made according to what your order confirmation says, please email us within 3 days of delivery of your order and we will send you a corrected replacement once we can verify the error. Click here to report a problem with your order.
Q. My item is damaged.
A. If an item arrived damaged, please email us within 3 days of delivery of your order and we will get back to you within 1-2 business days. Click here to report damaged orders.
Q. My item doesn't fit.
A. If the item was not made in the size you ordered, please send us an email here and we can send you a corrected replacement. If the item was made on the size that you ordered, the item is unable to be returned or exchanged as it was custom made according to the options you selected when placing the order.
Q. What is your return policy?
A. We do not accept returns or exchanges as the items are custom made according to the options selected when the order was placed. If your item was not made according to what your order confirmation says, please send us an email within 3 days of delivery of your order and we will send you a corrected replacement once we can verify the error. Q. I don't like the colors I chose.

Q. My letters are smaller than normal.
A. If you selected to have the letters vertically placed there is a notice on the customization page where you selected this option to the following statement:

If you indicated on your order for a certain letter size to be used and this request was not met, please email us (Click here to report a problem with your order.). If you did not indicate for a specific letter size to be used and we used our standard sizing according to the item you ordered, the item cannot be returned or exchanged as it was custom made.
Q. My package was shipped but never arrived.
A. Please track the package using the tracking number you received in your shipping confirmation email and see what the status of the package currently is. If there is an issue with the address, please contact customer service and we would be happy to assist you with getting this resolved.
If you have tracked your package and it is marked as delivered but you still do not have it, please do the following:
- check with any roommates, friends, family, neighbors, etc. who may have picked up the package without telling you - if your package is being shipped to an apartment complex, check with any sort of a leasing office/front office where the package may have been left with someone
If you check all the above and you still do not have the package, please contact customer service so we can assist you in starting an investigation in to the status of your package with the shipping company.
